Vicar Tommy was installed at Messiah Church in August of 2022 and is entrusted by the congregation to Preach, Teach, and administer the Sacraments according to Holy Scripture.

Tommy along with his wife Irene have been at Messiah Church from the beginning. Serving in many different capacities.  They had prayed for many years for an LCMS congregation in Prattville and were eager to be part of the launch team. They have been married for over 36 years and have two grown children, Tommy Lee Jr. (Caroline) of Prattville and Kayla Zimanek (Anton) of Altamonte Springs, Florida.  He also has two wonderful grandchildren, Aubrey Gace Lee and Tommy Jackson Lee.

Around 2015, the Lord began to call him into public ministry but he resisted.  With a desire to serve, Vicar Tommy received his Certificate as a Licensed Lay Deacon in the LCMS.  Some years later, with encouragement from Pastor Doug Davis, Pastor Jeff Hesterman, and Pastor Steve Richardson along with support of Southern District President Eric Johnson, Vicar Tommy entered the Specific Ministry Pastor (SMP) program at Concordia Seminary St. Louis. With strong guidance and encouragement from his mentor (Pastor Moerbe), his studies and experience will lead to ordination in August 2024 with an expected graduation of July 2026.

Tommy is originally from New Hebron, MS and served in the United States Air Force for almost 23 years, retiring in 2006 As a Senior Master Sergeant and has combined over 38 years of Logistics experience. He earned an Associate Degree in Logistics from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor degree in Human Resources/Management from Park University, and a Master Degree in Aeronautical Science with an emphasis in Operations from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is a certified Project Management Professional, PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner, and Private Pilot.

Some of his interests are; spending time with his wife, woodworking, fishing, and flying.
